ELITES II is the sister barrel to our original 11-year, ELITES “hazmat” release. 36% rye mash bill and matured on the top floor of the rickhouse, this barrel yielded just 137 bottles, bottled at 119.96 proof.

Nose: A gently cellared character opens into dried cherry, vanilla bean, and soft caramel. Hints of orange peel and toasted pecan emerge with time, accompanied by a delicate suggestion of brandied fruit and warm baking spice.

Palate: Brown-butter toffee provides a gentle foundation for dried cherry and candied orange peel. The fruit carries a depth reminiscent of aged Armagnac, with a fleeting impression of delicately spiced cake. Subtle rye spice weaves through the sweetness, while mellow oak provides structure and balance.

Finish: A haunting, lightly tart dried-cherry note lingers at the back of the palate, joined by faint cocoa and sweet tobacco. The fruit slowly recedes into delicate spice and integrated oak, retaining a pleasing brightness as it fades.
